Have you seen the most expensive Barbie doll in the world?

CanturiBarbie

This lovely Barbie doll on the left is the Canturi Barbie doll, unveiled in Australia last month. This doll is valued at $AUD600,000.00, wearing rare pink diamonds. She was premiered at the Australian launch of the Barbie Basics, a tie-in with Rosemount Fashion Week in Sydney, Australia. The necklace is 3.00cts of white diamonds and 1.00ct of pink Argyle diamond, notable for its distictive purple hue. Read more about this lovely lady in our new all-Barbie issue premiering at this years NATIONAL BARBIE CONVENTION IN CLEVELAND!

NinimomoFDQ brings you another all Barbie issue featuring rare Japanese prototypes, news on new products, an easy chair design how-to, and a sneak preview of some of the amazing artist dolls that will be at this year's convention in Cleveland, Ohio, like these two elegant ladies created by this year's official convention doll designers, Ninimomo (right).

Are you ready to rock?

The 2010 National Barbie® Doll Collectors Convention will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, at the Renaissance Hotel from July 21, 2010, through July 24, 2010.

Dorinda Balanecki and Dwane Adle will be your co-chairs for the 2010 convention. Please join us for the Barbie and the Rockers™ Reunion Tour -- it promises to be a rockin' good time for everyone! We will see you there with a 2010 Special Issue all about your favorite fashion doll! See Table of Contents on the left for a preview.

What's in the "Celebration" issue?

CelebrationCELEBRATION: Special issue 2009

kensMaryann Roy brings us a fresh new take on the Dream House when Ken takes over!

Maryann has restyled the Dream House for the most famous boyfriend in the world! Make sure to take a look and see what she came up with! Maryann must be psychic because Ken has his own Dream House in Toy Story 3. But Maryann did it first!

Can you believe it has been a decade since the Silkstone Fashion Models were introduced?

We take a look at the growing history of one of Barbie doll's beinterviewst makeovers. It seems like only yesterday that we had our first look at these fascinating new mannequins, and now ten years later, the collections are better than ever! Terri Gold shares her gorgeous photos of some of her favorite Silkies in this story! Photo by Terri Gold. Click on photo to go to Terri's blog.

We also have a Virtual issue on Barbie, "On The Runway" from the 2008 convention that we sold on our USB bracelet in St. Louis. You can view that for FREE right here by clicking on FCBarbieconthe cover (wait for it to load):

In it, you can learn how to create the iconic pillbox hat, and make a sheath for your Silkies. This is an exclusive pattern direct from the atelier of Mattel! Also included, auction designer interviews and a fabulous fashion portfolio of Barbie on location in Spain!

Pat Henry will be at the convention this July, and will be selling not only this virtual issue but the first (sold out) all-Barbie issue, "That Fabulous Face", as well as "Celebration" and "Rock On" all as easy to read PDFs on one bracelet. If you have an iPad you can download them to your book shelf and read them on the go!

The bracelet is reusable so you can keep your own photos and memories of the convention on them as well!
