It's been a busy winter for us! We are in the process of making our back issues available as downloads on our website, so that you can read issues you may have missed that are long sold out in print. We will also be making our current issues available online for subscribers so that you don't have to wait in order to get the latest news and information on the world of fashion dolls.

We began offering "virtual" issues on our USB bracelets in 2008. These are silicone bracelets embedded with a 1gig hard drive. You can download the issues to your desktop and print them out, or keep them on the bracelet. There is more than enough room to use the bracelet to store photos and notes of your own, too! Many readers who have bought the bracelets asked for additional content they may have missed at events, but didn't need another bracelet. So, we are now working on a password protected site where you can access additional content and read it right from your home computer. As we finalize the program, we will email our subscribers and let them know where to log on. Single issue readers will also be able to pick and choose issues to view one at a time.

Since we have sold out of most of our print issues, we will also repurpose our original issues as downloads, so you can catch up if you missed some of our earlier magazines. In addition to print, the world of technology has allowed us to put together some video how-to's, as well as something we are tentatively calling "DTV", as in DOLL TV. You will be able to view our vodcast so that you can see and hear interviews and news on a more frequent basis.

In other doll news, our exclusive Numina, Grey, has sold out. We are proud to have featured the amazing work of Paul Pham in our pages and we look forward to his future editions of the Numina, including another issue of Grey, due to debut in January. We will keep you posted on the line, as well as new entries for 2009 in our next issue, as well as online.

But there's lots of other dolls to buy! Check out Tonner Direct to see the fantastic Bella and Edward character figures from "Twilight". If old Hollywood is more your style, head over to GeneMarshalldoll.com to join the W Club and get the very elegant new Zita Charles doll. For tiny diva lovers, the W Club offers a sexy new Vanessa Perrin.

If you have become interested in the world of digital photography because of your dolls, you will want our new book, FDQ: IN FOCUS. This how-to book is the culmination of the many talented contributors who have shared their amazing photos in our magazine. Publisher Pat Henry is an assistant adjunct professor at New York City's Fashion Institute of Technology, and brings her experience in styling, photography and Photoshop direct to the collector, with a customized book that shows you how to set up your camera, style your dolls and take professional quality photographs, whether you need auction shots for eBay, or want a portfolio of your own. FDQ: IN FOCUS ships in March of 2009, so be sure to check back on the website, where you can order securely online. This full color book will be available to order soon!

If there is a doll line, designer or event you would like to see in our glossy pages, just let us know, by emailing Pat Henry here. If you would like to advertise, please contact Marsh Matulionis here. We have the best ad rates in the business! For only $150 you can run a full color business card, so even the smallest independent company can be seen in the glossy pages of FDQ. We also offer discounts for full year commitments, so contact us today. In a tough economy, the best way to attract customers is to advertise!
